So much to learn...

Today I had lunch with a group of older women. I didn't realize how old they actually were. One of the women sitting at the table said that on her next birthday, she was going to be 93 years old. She had been married for 64 years. Can you imagine?
Suddenly the women started to reminisce about being young and married with babies on their hips. They all agreed that it goes way too fast.

Its funny how life is.
I can remember being in elementary school and the days felt as slow as molasses. Now that I have kids in elementary school, it seems like the years are flying by.

I'm afraid to blink.

Today was a great reminder of the opportunity I have with my kids now. Tonight we changed our plans last minute. Instead of going home after the gym, we went to Rite Aid for ice cream. The kids were thrilled. Why not? It's a memory that only costs $1.19.

I'm grateful for those ladies that helped me realize how precious these years are.

Holding my kids close,
Trina

First & Last

Today has been filled with a first and a last.
It was the last day of our MOPS group in Riverside. It was hard to say goodbye because I am moving so far away from the group.
However, there is good news!
This is the first day of the thumbprintsisterhood blog. We can still keep in touch!
For those of you who are curious about the name.
The name thumbprint sisterhood comes from the women in our MOPS group inking their thumbs and placing the print over their favorite verses in my Bible. Since I can't take them with me to Humboldt, this is a small way for me to keep them near.
So, here it is Girls!
The thumbprint sisterhood is official!
Let me know what you think.
